DR. ANITA HAIDER

Anita is one of the founders of Emnandi Bioplastics. She is a seasoned professional with c.20 years of commercial, project development, consulting and research expertise.

She has demonstrated strong capabilities to deliver projects and manage businesses across the entire value chain, from feasibility, appraisal, funding, and megaproject development to marketing and trading in both mature and emerging markets.

She is a Polymer Chemist by background with an MSci and PhD from Imperial College, London. Her PhD was in the synthesis of biodegradable polymers (including PLA) from sugars and has attained several publications in reputable journals on this topic.

She started her career in the development and expansion of 2 aluminium smelters in Mozambique and South Africa. This was followed by a long career in Gas and Power with the supermajors, BP and ExxonMobil. This included an assignment in Qatar appraising and managing the world’s LNG producer, followed by an assignment in London implementing BP’s LNG trading programme and the development of several oil and gas projects in West Africa and the Middle East.

Before establishing Emnandi Bioplastics, Anita spent a considerable portion of her career in Singapore developing strategies and projects for the regions national oil companies.
